#30inks30days Handwriting Challenge - September 2020

Success! Another 30 Inks 30 Days challenge is in the books. The month goes by quickly when you keep changing inks, doesn't it? Since I've been doing this challenge for a couple of years now, I've gotten used to the rhythm of cleaning and inking in the morning. It's become as important as getting dressed, making the coffee, and feeding the dogs.

Here's my finished calendar layout:

By the second week, I hardly have to remind myself to clean and prepare the day's pen. What I sometimes need to remind myself is to post a pic to social media. That's what will sometimes lead to tardiness on a particular day's post. 

In the fourth week, I featured all seven inks in September's Ink Flight. I do enjoy a good double-shader ink, although the "Rainbow in a Bottle" is a bit too light for my liking. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the "Nebula Space Kitty" and "Trecolori Ultramarine" are satisfying for those that like the over-the-top, bold inks.

I was able to drain a few samples to empty. These challenges afford an excellent opportunity to kick a few vials and make room in my cases for next month's Ink Flight. Each #30inks challenge month, I'll usually set aside a selection of vials that have a drop or two left.

Favorite ink of the challenge - Troublemaker Milky Ocean because it's perhaps one of the nicest double-shading inks that isn't a Sailor.

Favorite pen and ink combo - Monteverde Pumpkin Cake + OMAS Ogiva extra fine, extra flessibile nib. Boy, does this Pumpkin Cake have depth and great shading accentuated by the flex nib on the OMAS.

Pen most used in September - Tied between the Lamy 2000 <M> and the Sailor 1911 Realo <Music> at 5 days each.

We had over 60 people posting every day last month. Instagram doesn't make it easy to find all the accounts, so I apologize if I missed anyone in the list below.
