Starting today, we're running a special fundraising campaign to aid the research for a cure and improve the quality of life for those afflicted with leukemia & lymphoma. The "Inkathon" works like this : If you've purchased an InkJournal from us, all you have to do is scan one of your writing samples and post it somewhere on the internet. It could be on our Facebook page, on your blog, on FPN or Reddit, etc. Send us the link to where you posted the scanned page and we will donate $1 toward the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Team in Training.
I'll quickly explain the concept here - my life-long friend Margarita Cianchetta is a member of Team in Training and running her third Marathon in October (the Marne Corps Marathon in Washington DC). Her example has been a source of inspiration in my own marathon training and I wanted to help support her fundraising goal for this marathon.
So, for each scanned writing sample done on with an InkJournal notebook, we will donate $1 toward Margarita's marathon fundraiser. If you "go the distance" and fill out an entire InkJournal notebook, scan all the pages and post them on a website, we will donate $5 and send you a complimentary 3-Pack of InkJournals. That's right, all we are asking is for you to share the scanned pages of your InkJournal online and you can help a worthy cause. Let's "Write Off" Cancer for future generations.
We request that you are courteous when posting the scans online, not only refraining from foul language, obscene drawings, etc, but also that you only post the images in one location on the internet. You may post a comment on this page, e-mail us through the contact form or post on our Facebook page to notify us as to the location of your uploaded pictures. There is a limit of (1) $1 donation and (1) $5 donation (+ free 3-Pack notebooks) per person. Inkathon donation drive ends September 6th.
If you need any guidance with scanning pages to post on the internet, here is a ehow article on scanning. If you are still having difficulty scanning, or don't own a scanner, you can mail your completed pages to our business address:
